It doesn't matter if you're a novice or an experienced trail rider, there is fun adventure waiting for you to experience. You can stay on the main trails or you can head on the smaller trails and off into the untouched tundra. You will see an amazing array of wildlife. It is unbelievable! Enjoy the original Florida Cracker Trail and all the breathtaking scenery! Have a picnic on the same historic trail that the United States Calvary built as they forged and battled the Seminole Indians southward securing local Fort Basinger and Okeechobee County. Lunches can also be provided upon request.
Lisa Posted: 2011-08-04 10:09:55 I had a wonderful time visiting the Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park. We rode our bikes and saw 8 deer, 6 turkeys and a bob cat. I have wonderful pictures to put in my photo book. Thanks for the wonderful time; we will be back.
George Posted: 2012-12-02 ' Our visit to the 'Florida Prairie House' was just right. My elder mother, my siblings and I wanted to experience the Florida prairie country and this was the perfect place to be based from. We toured both the Kissimmee Prairie State Park, Highlands Hammock, the Archbold research center, Buck Island Ranch and rented a skiff on Lake Okeechobee!! The location is remote and the house is modern yet rustic but the stars made it all worth great.
Frank Posted: 2011-08-04 09:49:30 I saw 12 turkeys and 7 deer and three giant gators sitting along the bank of the lily pad watering hole you told us about. My boys and myself really had fun while riding our mountain bikes up the original Cracker Trail in the Kissimmee Prairie Preserve State Park.
